Συμπεριλαμβάνεται στο πρώτο solo album του John Lennon “Plastic Ono Band” που κυκλοφόρησε το 1971 μετά την διάλυση των Beatles και δείχνει την απογοήτευση και την κούραση που είχε συσσωρεύσει όλα αυτά τα χρόνια από οτιδήποτε τον περιτριγύριζε. Δείχνει την απόφασή του να μείνει συγκροτημένος και αφοσιωμένος στην σχέση του με την Yoko.

Αναφορά στο άλμπουμ των Beatles (“Sgt. Peppers’ s Lonely Hearts Club Band” / EMI © 1967) που θεωρείται άλμπουμ σταθμός για την Rock Μουσική.

Τραγούδι του Paul McCartney, (Beatles “Help” / EMI © 1965) και είναι κατά γενική ομολογία, όχι μόνο το καλύτερο τραγούδι που έγραψε ποτέ ο Paul McCartney, αλλά ανήκει στα καλύτερα τραγούδια που έχουν γραφτεί ποτέ στην ιστορία της μουσικής.

H καριέρα της και η εξέλιξή της φρέναραν εξαιτίας των πολιτικών της θέσεων και ποτέ δεν της επετράπη να ξαναδιδάξει. Κατηγορήθηκε ως συνεργός στην διαφυγή μαύρων φυλακισμένων , το 1970 , κατά τη διάρκεια μιας δίκης ... συνελήφθη κλπ .. .. Επίσης κατηγορήθηκε για συνωμοσία , απαγωγή και φόνο , από μια στημένη , μαύρη οργάνωση ... ο φόνος είναι επειδή τον προκάλεσε , είπαν, αφού για να την πιάσουν χάθηκαν ζωές από τις συμπλοκές. Σε μια δίκη , με μόνο λευκούς ενόρκους , καταδικάστηκε.
Το 1980 , έβαλε υποψηφιότητα για Γ. Γ. του Κομμουνιστικού Κόμματος .

Στο τραγούδι αυτό , αναφέρονται κάποια ονόματα, ενδεικτικά για τις μεγάλες αντιθέσεις, τα τόσα πολλά που τους χωρίζουν. Έτσι, και το πρώτο ζευγάρι, μόνο που εκείνη την εποχή ήταν πολυσυζητημένη η μεταξύ τους συνάντηση. Έγινε το Φεβρουάριο του 1972 στο Πεκίνο, και επηρέασε τις πολιτικές εξελίξεις παγκόσμια ως και τις σχέσεις της Αμερικής με την Κίνα.

-Ο Μαο Τσε Τουνγκ …. Το κόκκινο βιβλιαράκι, η σκέψη του Μάο, η ανακήρυξη της Κίνας σε Λαϊκή Δημοκρατία και ο Richard Nixon .Ένας από τους προέδρους της Αμερικής, που _έμεινε πασίγνωστος όχι τόσο για το έργο του, αλλά για την υπόθεση Watergate, και τα σκάνδαλα και την κατηγορία ότι παρεμπόδισε τη δικαιοσύνη να επιτελέσει το έργο της……. Σε εμάς δε τους Έλληνες, την ανάμιξη της Αμερικής στη δικτατορία της χώρας μας το 1967.
Η λαμπερή Marilyn Monroe που έγινε σύμβολο ομορφιάς και γυναίκας, με τον μάλλον άσχημο, αλλά διασκεδαστικό κωμικό Lenny Bruce.

-Η Raquel Welch, η όμορφη ηθοποιός που έμεινε στην ιστορία όχι τόσο για τις ταινίες της όσο για το σώμα της και ο Jerry Rubin. Ένας από τους ιδρυτές του Διεθνούς Νεολαιϊστικου κόμματος, που είχε πλούσια πολιτική και κοινωνική παρουσία και πρωτοστατούσε στις διαδηλώσεις αντιπολεμικές, αντίθετες της καταστολής άλλων δραστηριοτήτων, που έμεινε στην ιστορία, για τη πολύκροτη δίκη του στο Chicago, όπου αγανακτισμένος από τον τρόπο διεξαγωγής της δίκης, σηκώθηκε όρθιος και βημάτιζε στρατιωτικά μπροστά από τον δικαστή Hoffman, με υψωμένο το χέρι του στον ναζιστικό χαιρετισμό, φωνάζοντας "Heil Hitler".
Ενδιαφέρον το ιστορικό της δίκης, αλλά και η δράση του Jerry Rubin.

-Queen of England και Eldridge Cleaver οπωσδήποτε αναφέρεται ως αντίθεση πεποιθήσεων. Ο Eldridge Cleaver Yπεύθυνος του τμήματος πληροφοριών του κόμματος Μαύρος Πάνθηρας, και μάλιστα από τα πιο μαχητικά μέλη, που πίστευαν και στην ένοπλη επανάσταση για την καθιέρωση του σοσιαλισμού στις ΗΠΑ.

-Ο Manson, δεν είναι άλλος από τον περιβόητο εγκληματία Charles Manson, που μεταξύ άλλων, το 1968 , μπήκε στη βίλα της ηθοποιού Σάρον Τέιτ και μαζί με άλλους φίλους του , έσφαξαν την έγκυο ηθοποιό και άλλους παρευρισκόμενους με απίστευτα κτηνώδεις τρόπους. Αναφέρεται ως ο πιο επικίνδυνος ζωντανός άνθρωπος στη γη. Κατά τη γνώμη του, αυτός είναι ο Ιησούς και όσοι σκότωσε, έπρεπε να πεθάνουν για τις αμαρτίες τους. Θεωρίες που εξακολουθεί να τις πιστεύει και τις επαναλαμβάνει. Kάθε φορά ανασύρονται στην επιφάνεια, μετά από αιτήσεις χάριτος και αποφυλάκισης του, που συνεχώς απορρίπτονται.
Και ο Rockfeller τέλος, που δεν έχει καμιά σχέση με σένα ( you ), γιατί, τι σχέση έχει ο κάθε απλός θνητός με έναν κροίσο των πετρελαίων;

6: “Vera Lynn” Pink Floyd

VERA LYNN καλλιτεχνικό ψευδώνυμο της Vera Welch
Αγαπημένη τραγουδίστρια της Αγγλίας.
Γεννήθηκε στο Λονδίνο, ένα χρόνο πριν λήξει ο Πρώτος Παγκόσμιος Πόλεμος.
Πρωτοτραγούδησε τα χρόνια του μεσοπολέμου, με μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία της το τραγούδι, "We will meet again ".
Σε αυτό το τραγούδι αναφέρεται το κομμάτι των Pink Floyd .... και ολόκληρο είναι αφιερωμένο σε αυτήν !

Η Vera Lynn, είχε εκπομπή στο ραδιόφωνο του BBC, εμψύχωνε τους στρατιώτες και το λαό, τα δύσκολα εκείνα χρόνια και ήταν πάρα πολύ αγαπητή.
Τα τραγούδια της, απαλές μπαλάντες, προσαρμοσμένα στις ανησυχίες της εποχής ήταν νοσταλγικά για την πατρίδα, τις αγαπημένες των στρατιωτών, αγνοούμενους κλπ....

¶ρχισε από τα 7της χρόνια να τραγουδά, να χορεύει και να δίνει παραστάσεις. Έπαιξε και σε κάποιες ταινίες της εποχής .
Με τη λήξη του Δεύτερου Παγκόσμιου Πολέμου, έληξε και η καριέρα της. Αποσύρθηκε... Χάθηκε...
Κανένας δεν ξανάμαθε για αυτήν τίποτα ....

Μια συλλογή τραγουδιών, όπου έχει κι’ αυτό που αναφέρουν οι Pink Floyd, με τη Vera Lynn , έχει τίτλο "τραγούδια που κέρδισαν τον πόλεμο" !

O Steven Biko ήταν ένας από τις πρώτιστες μορφές στην προσπάθεια της νότιας Αφρικής για την απελευθέρωση από το καθεστώς απαρτχάιντ.
Δολοφονημένος από την αστυνομία όταν ήταν μόνο 30, είχε καθιερωθεί ήδη ως σημαντικός ηγέτης μέσω της εργασίας του ως πολιτικό ενεργό στέλεχος και της ανάλυσής του για τη Μαύρη Συνείδηση. Ο Biko, ήταν ένα νοτιοαφρικανικό πολιτικό ενεργό στέλεχος, υποστήριξε ότι η "μαύρη απελευθέρωση " αρχίζει με τη "μαύρη ψυχολογική αυτάρκεια". Πίσω στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ’70, αρχές της δεκαετίας του ’80, Ο Ιρλανδός Bobby Sands, πέθανε από απεργία πείνας, πιστός στον αγώνα των συντρόφων του για Ελευθερία. Οι “Moving Hearts”,_τότε επίσημο γκρουπ του IRA, στον δίσκο με τίτλο το όνομά τους, του αφιέρωσαν το παραπάνω τραγούδι.
